I remember Sharil Tarmizi, GAC chair, thought he would experiment with a forum, there were one or two congratulatory posts from people from other ICANN consistuencies and then no one used it.

As a result the only thing there when someone did happen across it months later was the usual forum spam, so the decision was made to shut it down.

One of the problems with just having a forum - unless people know it's there and use it, it serves no purpose.
