Thank you for noticing that thread. There are two distinctions to be made. One is the content that the miscreants had hidden behind that domain name - a phishing attempt for valid email addresses, the other is the domain itself. My comment was directed towards the domain, not the content. Part of the global Internet security problem today is with botnets and other network security issues related to embedded domains names. Addressing some of these security issues and explaining why registrars shouldn't act or are not responsible would be helpful. Until then, I stand by my comment that they are AWOL from the internet security scene. (And to be clear, I'm not talking about how processing fraud affects _them_, we're really talking about Internet security).
