I think you have to be careful when looking at registrations, especially over the short term.
.com has recently been subject to 100'000s of registrations per day as PPC companies test names to see if they can cover the cost of registrations with people clicking on their auto generated advert pages. .info has also been subjected to vast numbers of "automated" registrations in the second half of 2004 and at the start of 2005. Perhaps a better way to determine the relative size of each namespace is to look at usage. www.chart.info/stats13.htm gives a good feel for relative TLD sizes globally. It is also worth considering each country individually as for the most part people only are familiar with .com & their own country ccTLD. www.chart.info/stats14.htm shows the variation in usage at individual country level.
