As I was loading up my laptop for holiday travels, I tried to move my unwatched episodes of Rocketboom from my Tivo to my laptop using
TivoToGo. I can move broadcast content, but not Internet content. Tivo tells me that
Rocketboom is "copy protected" and cannot be transferred (see the
screenshot here.) Does this make any sense? The show is available by
RSS to anyone who wants it.

I wrote that having Internet content appearing on Tivo, as an equal with broadcast content, was a small slice of the future. It is. I suppose DRM is a part of that future too.
