I want to say that I'm very happy that I came across this site.
You'll have to pardon me if I come across naive...I have limited information regarding ICANN. But, I do know one thing, ICANN is working with the UN. I don't understand why the internet is going to be taken over by the UN and become a regulated communications system. This is what I think I know, ISOC integrated ICANN, so now they're under ISOC control. It appears that the ISOC is considering relocating , to Mauritius, which is the new "Switzerland"..iand supports establishing themselves as the UN governing body for the internet. Consequently, since the majority of members in the UN are countries with questionable integrity which suppress social freedoms, their consensus will undoubtedly be tighter controls and restictions for the internet. I hate that our wonderful internet is going to be destroyed by politics and money. Here it is again, I suspect that once in charge, the UN will require a substantial amount of money to govern and regulate , and as such, we will all be paying additonal money to have access. The result is controlling f the flow of information as well as content. . Is there anyone out here that sees things differently? Thanks to all for any opinions and information Re: IPR62: ICANNWatchers, This Is Your Wake Up Call

I see it quite differently from you, and it's not because I am on the boards of ISOC and ICANN.
I've never believed in these global conspiracy theories. What you are saying is based on some not-well-written reports, I guess. ICANN working with the UN? What do you mean? the UN - through some of its processes - actually wanted to get rid of ICANN and the self-management of the Internet... Trackbacks
