I've linked a couple of stories recently from Tech Central Station: "Much Ado About Site Finder" and "Should the UN Control the Internet". An always astute reader wrote a few weeks ago to note that these were coming from lobbying organizations that undoubtedly represented some unidentified (but probably obvious) stakeholders. Now, via Politech, comes a link to this story, "Meet the Press", on the nature of the "journalism" published by Tech Central Station. Here's a sample: "TCS doesn't just act like a lobbying shop. It's actually published by one--the DCI Group, a prominent Washington 'public affairs' firm specializing in P.R., lobbying, and so-called 'Astroturf' organizing, generally on behalf of corporations, GOP politicians, and the occasional Third-World despot." It's always good to know the source of your news, especially when it comes from the Internet, even if the articles can stand on their own merits (as these do).
