Changing DNS in Blogware?
Here's a question for the Blogware team. I'm putting my money where my mouth is and moving everything over to lextext.org. Is this what I should do: (a) create a CNAME for blog.lextext.org that maps to user.blogware.com; (b) update the URL in the blogware settings; and (c) create a CNAME from blog.lextext.com to blog.lextext.org. Will that break anything?

You will have breakage. You'll want to do a redirect from blog.lextext.com to lextext.org as opposed to trying to do it via DNS. The site operates off the "hostname" passed by the browser and this will not be translated for you based on a CNAME.

Do you want to keep blog.lextext.com working? or simply ditch it?

I want blog.lextext.com to resolve to/or redirect to blog.lextext.org (so the .org name shows in the url). I put a redirect in the .htaccess file when repointed icann.blog.us. I'm not sure how to do the same with the blogware stuff since it's not on my server. I think I'm getting confused about what parts of my lextext domains are living where. :-) Trackbacks
